EESI’s Commitment to Health & Safety
EESI Group Services recognises and accepts its responsibilities as an employer to provide safe and healthy working conditions for all its employees and others who may be affected by our acts and omissions. Our policy reflects the Company’s commitment towards the Health, Safety and Welfare of all employees. The Company will take all necessary steps, so far is reasonably practicable, to meet these responsibilities. To this end, the Company will integrate their Health and Safety arrangements into the management system for all other aspects of their activities.
The Company will endeavour to:
- Provide information, instruction, training and supervision to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the Health & Safety of every employee at work.
- Provide and maintain a healthy and safe working environment with adequate welfare facilities.
- Provide and maintain safe plant and safe systems of work without risk to health.
- Make arrangements for ensuring the safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances which are inherently or potentially hazardous to health and the environment.
- Assess and limit the risks to Health & Safety caused by all substances and systems of work used at these premises and to inform the relevant employees of the results of this assessment, the nature of the risk and monitor these risks on a regular basis.
- Provide a safe means of access to and egress from the workplace.
The promotion of Health and Safety at work is regarded as a mutually beneficial objective for management and employees at all levels. Employees have legal duties in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 (Sections 7 & 8), and the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999 (Regulation 12).
These duties include:
- Taking reasonable care to avoid injury to themselves or others from their work activities.
- Co-operate with their employer in order to comply with any statutory duties and requirements.
- Never intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of Health, Safety and Welfare.
The Company recognises that its Health, Safety and Environmental Policies provide only the minimum requirements needed to ensure a safe working environment, which must be supported by safe systems of work and further safety information, relevant to individual department.
Our policies will be kept up to date, particularly as the business changes in nature and size. To ensure this, these policies and their operation will be reviewed regularly and employees advised of any changes.
The Company’s senior management team gives their full support to these policies.
EESI Ltd shall take such measures as may be necessary to provide staff suitable and sufficient health and safety training, in order that staff fully understand the hazards associated with the work activity and environment and the correct practices required to minimise the risks. This will ensure the skills and knowledge of the employees is improved, make them work more effectively by creating a safer and more efficient workplace.
