25th Year Anniversary
The EESI Story
Local businessman Mike Gardiner founded the company in 1994 as an electrical contractor with just two employees. Over the past 25 years, it has grown into EESI Group Services, a multi-million-pound building services and facilities management company that now employs 70 people.
Although Mike Gardiner has semi-retired, he remains the owner and active chairman. He continues to work closely with Managing Director Derek Jarman, who has been part of the company since day one.
The Year Ahead
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, EESI is proudly supporting Longfield as its ‘Charity of the Year’ and will actively fundraise to help expand its hospice care services.
Furthermore, the management team has committed to match every pound raised by employees, ensuring their contributions make an even greater impact.
As a well-respected local business, EESI remains dedicated to giving back and supporting families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Ali Russell, CEO of Longfield, said, “We are delighted that EESI has chosen us as their charity in this milestone year. It’s fantastic to see a valued local company raising funds to help families access free hospice care. We look forward to a fun-filled year of fundraising and collaboration.”
The Next Step
Now in its 25th year, EESI has introduced an exciting new service: EESIHIRE, offering temporary cooling, heating, ventilation, and drying equipment rentals.
As the company expands, it remains committed to meeting customer needs with practical solutions. “It’s exciting to explore new opportunities,” said Derek Hyett. “Providing the right solutions directly to our customers has always been our priority.”
