Air source heat pumps are renewable energy technology that take the warmth from the air outside and convert it to heating. They can also be used to heat water in a storage tank for hot water. EESI can offer two types of air source heat pumps:
Air-to-water systems are more common, they heat water which is then circulated around your building via radiators or an underfloor heating system.
The second type of air source heating is via air-to-air heating, this type does not heat water.

Integration with other renewables
We can combine air source heat pumps with other technologies to maximise your carbon savings and minimise your energy bills. For example, solar PV could be used to generate the electricity that powers the heat pump, and if this was coupled with a battery, stored power from the PV panels could heat hot water for showers and hot water during the evening.
