According to the Department for Transport’s Electric Vehicle Device Statistics: January 2021 report, there were 20,775 public electric vehicle charging devices available in the UK, with 75 public charging points in South Gloucestershire, 42 in Cotswold, 39 in Stroud, 35 in Gloucester, 32 in Cheltenham and 16 in the Forest of Dean.

So, with the 2030 ban on the sale of conventional petrol and diesel cars in the UK looming over the horizon, it would appear that it will require a herculean effort to make the shift to all electric.

Did you know that under the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) you may be entitled to grant funding for your EV charging solution?

The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS) provides grant funding of up to 75% towards the cost of installing electric vehicle charge points at home and the Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge-points, for eligible businesses, charities and public sector organisations.
