The Solution
Working in partnership with installers EESI Group Services Ltd, who were under time pressures to have a solution in place for the pre-season friendlies ahead of the start of the EFL in August, Oprema supplied an IP CCTV system and Control Room which surpasses even the FA’s stringent requirements.
A total of 30 IP cameras were installed in and around the stadium. This number included 27 static and three PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) cameras which satisfied the FA’s requirements. Specialist lifting equipment to install the CCTV cameras was brought in to avoid damaging the pitch. Given that the Forest Green Rovers players have become the first outside of Europe’s top divisions to be face captured for FIFA 18 – the best-selling football game on the planet – it seems fitting that their supporters and opposition should also see the benefits that face capture brings in terms of safety
The Control Room – which continues the sustainable ethos of the club and features energy saving LED lights and an energy efficient heat pump air conditioning unit – was fitted with three PCs, two of which are used by CCTV operators during match days and one to provide a CCTV overview on two high level monitors
The Result
The works were delivered on time and within budget, in a professional and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the Club’s preparations for the upcoming season. The Control Room has a view of the stadium to satisfy security regulations, which stipulate that fans and stadium occupants have to be visible from the room by security staf
